Sarah Walker, Principal Designer

Sarah Walker’s expertise is in combining beauty with functionality in unique ways that reflect the individual requirements and personalities of her clients. What sets her apart is her holistic take on design as a gateway to health and well-being starting with sustainable, healthy materials in her luxury showroom. She is committed to an excellent home building experience for our clients through her optimized processes, elevated products, and skilled team.

She is passionate about sustainable design and living in place because she has always loved the outdoors so green design is the best way to reduce construction waste and improve clients’ quality of life. Sarah Walker, was born and raised in Dubai and has traveled around the world.  Sarah followed a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business, and Art with over 15 years of experience in all phases of residential and corporate interior design,  including designing stores nationwide directly with Nordstrom corporate executives for seven years.  She is renowned for seamless coordination and attention to detail. She develops her impeccable taste by traveling the globe to study innovations in materials, art, and architecture.

 Outside the showroom, Sarah loves spending time outdoors with her husband, three kids, and spoiled King Charles Cavalier. Her hobbies are cooking (especially when someone else is on dish duty), reading, and gardening.

Mary Mei, Junior Designer

Mary Mei started her interior design journey three years ago when she moved from the Philippines. She has always loved art and design and is passionate about creating technical drawings. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with Honors from an accredited interior design school while working as an Assistant Interior Designer and Autodesk Revit Teaching Assistant at Bellevue College. She also has experience selecting and ordering finish materials for clients at a large floring retailer. Mary has skills in both hand rendering and computer renderings to clearly convey detailed concepts to clients.

She believes that home is where you feel calm and at peace, and interior design is responsible for making home feel like home. One of her favorite aspects of her work is taking care of clients and providing them with detail-oriented service so they can enjoy their new home.

Mel Guanci, Marketing Manager

From her retail days for big brands to the President and CEO of the Lupus Foundation of America’s Iowa Chapter and everything in between, Mel’s successes come from building connections, from wanting to make others successful, and the spaces they occupy, beautiful. Whenever you meet with her, you are made to feel right at home and confident that you will get exactly what you need. 

Whether it’s acting as marketing director of a non-profit or supporting a friend, service is central to her character, and helping others become successful is her source of inspiration. Even when she’s not “at work,” Mel is working hard to support her family and community.

Dom Theresa, Operational Support

Dom is passionate about helping Nuance streamline systems and processs. After having worked for the Federal Government for five years, this gave her great transferrable work experience to becoming an Operational Support Person.  From there, she knew she wanted to make the pivot to support Nuance Showroom with all the behind-the-scenes procurement, tracking, scheduling, and vendor management.
 
In her spare time, Dom enjoys gardening with her two year old in tow and reading a good book while relaxing at the cottage. 
 

Trevor Clint, Hunter Douglas Support

Trevor assists Nuance Showroom with the techincal orders for Hunter Douglas custom window treatments ensuring fabrics, patterns, colors, dimensions, and operating systems are communicated concisely to the Hunter Douglas workrooms. He also tracks showroom and corporate Hunter Douglas special promotions for best possible client pricing. He handles any system updates and installer communication so each client gets a turnkey experience from multiple quotes, final measurements, invoicing, and installation. 
 
In his spare time, Trevor operates a non-profit organization focused on wildlife and habitat restoration and conservation called Ridgewalkers Archives (ridgewalkers.org). He partners with about a dozen other wildlife organizations to raise awareness and provide charitable contributions. The key element for raising awareness is through the social network he’s created to share outdoor adventures and archive the stories with a QRC on a photo or souvenier. The whole goal is to encourage preservation of our greatest resources and share the memories with future generations.
